
Eva Chiu
Associate Director, School of Architecture
Eva is a partner at CLAD studio, an architectural firm she founded with partner Antonio Lao in 2006. Their work ranges from single-family to small-scale multi-family residential and commercial projects and have been recognized with design distinctions. Her broad work experience includes high-end interior retail and commercial design with Peter Marino Architects, domestic and European commercial and institutional commissions with Richard Meier & Partners, and large-scaled mixed-use developments in Asia with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Eva is a licensed architect in California.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Eva continued her studies at Harvard University where she earned a Master of Architecture. She was awarded the Alpha Rho Chi Medal for her leadership. Upon graduation, Eva travelled with a Fulbright scholarship to Hong Kong to study its unique urban condition. Eva previously held a teaching appointment at the University of California Berkeley.
