Block Transfer
Block Transfer simplifies the credit transfer process for students who have completed an accredited associate degree. This method removes the need to determine course-by-course equivalency for general education courses to reduce credit-loss when transferring.
For more information, please refer to Block Transfer Guide.
Architecture Programs
Architecture has specific general education requirements (math, physics, architectural history, etc.) so the total Block Transfer credit is lower than other majors.
B.Arch (150 units): 24 units block-transferred as Liberal Arts and Electives
BA (120 units): 33 units block-transferred
Additional Credit Transfers
Block Transfer is used in combination with additional methods for credit transfer.
Math and physics courses are transferred based on transcript review.
Architecture courses are transferred based on portfolio and transcript review.
