Ying Wang is an alumna of the Academy of Art University, Graduate School of Architecture. She brings an architectural expertise in the public sector gained at San Francisco Public Works. She has worked on projects of different typologies and scales such as the Laguna Honda Hospital, Chinatown Public Health Center, and Navigations Centers for the unhoused. Ying is committed to working in the interest of the public to make San Francisco a better place to live and work. She is also a green architecture practitioner having earned her LEED AP BD+C credential. Prior to Architecture, Ying was a software engineer leading a design team at Pfizer to develop and manage a complex medical record system. Ying holds degrees in Bachelor of Education, Master of Engineering Degree in Computer Application Technology, and Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. With over 7 years of professional experience and a background in education, Ying is passionate about architectural education. Outside of her professional endeavors, Ying volunteers at CuriOdyssey, a non-profit science museum and zoo in San Mateo, CA, to engage visitors, especially children, to help them observe and learn about the birds and turtles in the walk-through Aviary.
