
James Mallery
Faculty, School of Architecture
James’ strong abilities in architectural design, coordination, and management stem from both his professional experience in architecture and his teaching and research background. He specializes in complex civic, corporate, adaptive reuse, and significant historical buildings. He has deep familiarity with codes and programmatic requirements, and as Project Architect is an excellent coordinator of complex systems and teams. Also, James is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is a LEED BD&C Accredited Professional. Prior to studying architecture at Cal Poly Pomona and earning his M ARCH, James completed his Ph.D from UCLA in San Francisco urban history, and currently teaches architectural history at AAU.
