ARH 606 Construction Documents and Building Codes

 

Carry your conceptual design ideas into the concrete building details of an actual project. You will gain the knowledge to develop a set of construction documents incorporating applicable building codes and technical requirements to realize your designs.

Prerequisite: ARH 609, ARH 608, ARH 604

Software: Drafting software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, 3D Modeling Software such as Rhino

  • Prepare and organize a simple set of construction documents
  • Describe the relationship between the components or a construction document set
  • Describe the role of the construction documents and specifications in the building process
  • Calculate occupancy load
  • Create drawings that comply with Accessability code
  • Design buildings that comply with regulations for passing the building permit requirments
  • Analyze construction cost estimate and life cycle cost
