Ryan Boone
Faculty, School of Architecture
Originally from Colorado, Ryan received a B.F.A. in film production from Chapman University and spent 10+ years in the entertainment industry as a producer, editor, cinematographer, designer and teacher. Ryan subsequently obtained an M.Arch degree from Academy of Art University where he graduated as valedictorian and was awarded the AIA Henry Adams medal for excellence. Since then, he has received licensure in both Washington State and North Carolina, achieved NCARB certification, and received the AIA J. Hyatt Hammond Achievement grant, one of the highest honors available to architects in North Carolina.
With a multidisciplinary flair for design and a passionate work ethic, Ryan practices as an architectural generalist looking for opportunities to achieve lasting design at any scale. Ryan has experience designing retail prototype, Pre-K / K-12 / higher ed, luxury single family residential, multi-family and mixed use, commercial, civic, tribal, recreational, and medical projects and he looks forward to his next challenge.
Ryan sees every project as an opportunity for thoughtful, enriching, contextual design. Whether the problem is large or small, he believes each unique condition deserves a well-crafted solution.
Ryan loves music and currently resides on Bainbridge Island, WA with his wife, 2 kids, 2 dogs, and a bearded dragon.
