The Rose Pak Memorial Scholarship awards multiple scholarships to assist students in meeting their college financial obligations.
Named to commemorate legendary community leader Ms. Rose Pak, our scholarship program was established to nurture and inspire the leaders of tomorrow. The scholarship aims to support the next generation of Asian American students who demonstrate leadership qualities and intention to pursue a public-service career in the future.
The Rose Pak Memorial Scholarship considers applicants who are either attending college or are graduating high school seniors who have been accepted into a college or post-secondary education. Rose Pak Scholars are students who study and plan to pursue a career to serve the public interest. They hail from immigrant families and often are the first person in their immediate families to attend a four-year institution.
Since the scholarship’s founding in 2017, the scholarship has awarded over $137,500 in scholarships awards.

The scholarship will be paid directly to the school’s financial aid office towards the cost of tuition
Eligibility Criteria
- Target students of Asian and Pacific Islander Origin (Student does not need to be of AAPI ethnicity to apply)
- Grade level: incoming Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior at a four-year university in 2026 – 2027
- Student’s permanent residence must be in one of nine San Francisco Bay Area County**
- No Major requirements, but students must be able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities and commitment to serve their community.
- International and foreign exchange students are NOT eligible.
- Students who have received full-ride scholarships for their undergraduate studies are NOT eligible.
Application Requirements
- School transcript with GPA (generated within 90 days of application – unofficial transcripts will be accepted) ***
- If graduating H.S. senior or junior college transfer student, letter of acceptance from the college you plan to attend***
- Proof of home residence (Govt. I.D. Card, school letter, govt. letter etc.) ***
- FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR)*** – Please attach all pages
- No more than 1 letter of recommendation (optional)
- Household main income earner’s proof of financial hardship (optional – see question PART IV – B)
