For first semester online students who would like jump start their semester, we are offering an in-person workshop during the first week of classes! It will be especially helpful for students new to drawing and model making. The itinerary includes daily field trips to architecturally significant sites in San Francisco.

During the workshop, you will complete the assignments for ARH 110 Studio 1 and ARH 170 Design Communication while practicing drawing and model making techniques real-time with architecture faculty at your side. Workspace, tools, and supplies will be provided in the architecture building at 601 Brannan Street. You must bring your own laptop and mouse (computer specs for architecture courses). For students new to making physical models, the in-person instruction will ensure a strong start to the semester.

This workshop is being offered at no additional tuition cost. The university is offering at-cost ($80 per night) twin-bed accommodations in our dormitory (620 Sutter St) for students who are traveling from out of town. You must arrange your own transportation and meals.
