Eric Reeder

Eric Reeder is a licensed California architect whose diverse career has focused on collaboration, sustainability, and social awareness. For nearly a decade, Eric practiced in Seoul, South Korea. Upon his return to the US, Eric founded San Francisco-based ERa (Eric Reeder Architect) in 2018. His work balances professional practice and education, having taught graduate level design studios as an assistant professor in South Korea and in the United States. His academic research and professional projects focus on housing, sustainable urbanism, and adaptive reuse strategies.
In his practice, Eric embraces cross-disciplinarian and cross-cultural approaches with architecture, urban design, landscape, and allied constituents. He collaborates closely with his clients, partners, and builders alike. Eric has expertise in single and multi family housing, as well as adaptive reuse for cultural, commercial and public projects. He is adept at navigating the jurisdictional challenges of permit processes in the Bay Area and beyond.
Eric studied urban design in Prague, Czech Republic through the University of Colorado prior to receiving a Bachelors in Environmental Design. He earned his Master of Architecture from UC Berkeley. In 2015, he published “Adaptations Seoul”, and has received awards and published recognition in North America and East Asia.
