Competition Success for Graduate Architecture Student

Master of Architecture Student Tsz Wai Leung was shortlisted in the The Hong Kong Pixel Home Competition for her architecture thesis project LiSC “Living in Shared Community” an innovative housing proposal that utilizes the concept of a sharing economy. The project introduces a social and sustainable community that addresses the Hong Kong housing crisis based on the many benefits of sharing. The project tutored by Graduate Architecture Director Mark Mueckenheim was a perfect fit for the international competition that called into question the perennial topological challenge of multi-unit housing through increased population and urban growth. The competition jury of nineteen was comprised of professional members from internationally know offices such as OMA, Renzo Piano Building Workshop, SHoP Architects and Thomas Phifer & Partners among others, as well as professors from universities in England, Latvia, and France. Tsz Wai Leung’s project was successful among many entries from architects, graduates and students from all over the world.
