The School of Architecture at the Academy of Art University invites you to a lecture by Ashley August of Nanka. Ashley is graduate design studio faculty and an architect who practices in the US and in Japan.

Ashley is the Principal of Nanka located in the Mission District in San Francisco, California. She has taught Architecture at University of California, Berkeley and Academy of Art University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from UC Berkeley and a Master of Architecture I from Harvard Graduate School of Design. She has experience working in firms including The Los Angeles Design Group (LADG), AS_IS, and Atelier Bow-Wow.

Rue is the Principal of Nanka, located in Shinjuku, Tokyo. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from University of California, Berkeley. He previously worked as a Project Manager at Kengo Kuma and Associates in Tokyo, Japan. Prior to working in architecture Rue managed the clothing store Cotton Sheep in San Francisco, California.
