Prerequisite: Sophomore status

Course Learning Outcomes

 

  • Compare and analyze theories of contemporary urban development
  • Apply critical theories in an urban situation and analyze the implications in terms of preconditions for architectural possibilities
  • Develop and articulate a theoretical understanding of the city from a variety of disciplines
  • Evaluate urban theories through critical thinking, discussion, and debate
  • Explain and expand on how major theoretical frameworks have shaped various urban policies
