Matthew Davis

Matthew Davis is a Canadian-Filipino designer, artist, and former professor at Columbia University GSAPP and Parsons School of Design. He is the director of DAD D.P.C. and also a Registered Architect in New York State in the USA.
Matthew moved from Toronto to New York after completing his Bachelor of Architectural Studies at the University of Waterloo. He was an Associate at Only If— (New York) and spent multiple years working with OMA (Rotterdam and New York). He holds a Master of Architecture from Columbia University GSAPP and was the recipient of the Alpha Rho Chi Medal. Previously, he worked at NL Architects (Amsterdam), Coop Himmelb(l)au (Vienna), Arquitectonica (Paris), and KPF (New York).
Matthew is currently working on projects in New York, Canada, Mexico, and the Philippines. He has recently completed a multi-family residence in the mountains of the Philippines as well as a restaurant in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. In October of 2019, he exhibited Project GUNK as part of Toronto’s Nuit Blanche event. In 2020, he founded Open For Business with Stephan van Eeden to design, build, and install protective shields during the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2021, he was a resource speaker at the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) 46th National Convention.
Since 2012, Matthew has collaborated most frequently with Adrien Mans, Stephan van Eeden, and Igsung So (SWON Ltd).
