The SCB Foundation invests in the next generation of architects, designers, and planners by supporting students as they develop their voices and begin their professional journeys. Established in 2024, the SCB Foundation works to encourage students from wide-ranging socioeconomic and diverse backgrounds in their pursuit of a career in architecture, interior design, and urban planning. The SCB Foundation Scholarship consists of a one-time, non-recurring award of $5,000 and a paid summer internship at an SCB office. Applications are usually due in March.

Scholarship Eligibility

• Enrolled in a full-time undergraduate study at an accredited (NAAB, CIDA, PAB) four- or five-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.
• A member of an underrepresented minority group.
• In need of financial assistance to pursue their studies.
• Able to work legally in the United States and participate in a 3-month, paid summer internship at one of SCB’s offices in Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, or Seattle.
