The AIA SF is hosting a unique event, with a film about the legendary structural engineer Leslie Robertson, “Changing the Skyline: In Conversation with Leslie E. Robertson” at the Buck Institute for Aging, in Novato, California, March 20 with a reception beginning at 6:00pm, and the program beginning at 7:00pm. This special event will be moderated by Gensler founder Arthur Gensler, and will include a post-screening conversation with Mr. Robertson who will be in attendance. Mr. Robertson is best known as the structural engineer of the World Trade Center Towers in New York, but also designed many other famous buildings, such as the Bank of China tower in Hong Kong, and the Buck Institute, both designed by I.M. Pei. A tour of the Buck Institute will also be given prior to the event. Student admission will be $10, general admission $35.
