
LAN 683/360 Landscape Architectural Construction Documents
Learn what it takes to put together an accurate set of construction documents. You’ll create plans, details, schedules and specifications to communicate your design intent and provide the detailed information required to permit, build and install a project. Strategies for sustainable construction and installation will be emphasized. (This course is cross-listed with LAN 360.)
Prerequisite for Undergraduate Students: LAN 223
Prerequisite for Graduate Students: LAN 665 or ARH 651 or IAD 602

Course Learning Outcomes
- Identify and describe in detail the basic components of construction documents.
- Organize, set up model files and create drawing sheets using AutoCad and the CSI format.
- Create plans and cross reference details and specifications with accuracy and precision.
- Apply green infrastructure strategies and details wherever possible.
- Complete specifications, area and volumetric take-offs, and cost estimates with accuracy and precision. .
- Generate multiple revisions based on redlines and record accurately.
- Organize and maintain accuracy and consistency of information in one project through many revisions.
