Volkan Alkanoglu Lecture

Volkan Alkanoglu is a designer based in Cambridge, MA. His design work is installed and was exhibited at several institutions including the University of Oregon, Union Square Park, Yeshiva Museum in New York, the Royal Academy of Arts, Slade Gallery in London, Weissenhof Gallery in Stuttgart, YA Forum in Atlanta. Since entering practice, he has received several awards and recognition for visionary spatial design proposals. Prior to opening his own practice, he has collaborated with Future Systems in London and Asymptote Architecture in New York. Volkan Alkanoglu is currently a Lecturer in Architecture at Harvard University, Graduate School of Design. Within his academic background, he has taught at the Georgia Institute of Technology, in Atlanta and the Southern California Institute of Architecture in Los Angeles. Born in Turkey and raised in Germany, he studied architecture at the Peter Behrens School of Architecture in Düsseldorf and the Bartlett School of Architecture in London. Volkan Alkanoglu is a registered Architect with the AKNW (Architektenkammer Nordrhein-Westfalen) in Germany, and a LEED Accredited Professional (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) in the USA.
