Urban Confluence: Silicon Valley

A design competition that could change a student’s life forever

Silicon Valley will never be the same

Urban Confluence Silicon Valley invites design visionaries throughout the world to help define the identity and spirit of this extraordinary region, to reflect the breathless sense of possibility we all feel, and to propel that influence and hope into a world-class iconic landmark.

The site for this proposed landmark is in the heart of Silicon Valley. Located in downtown San Jose, directly across from SAP Center and the future Google transit-oriented village.

The Competition has two phases. Phase 1 is a world-wide “open ideas competition” that invites individuals and teams of artists, architects, urban planners, landscape architects, designers, engineers, students, dreamers – and anyone with a passion for place-making to submit ideas. There is no entry fee.

In Phase 2, each of the three finalists will receive a stipend of $150,000 to refine their proposals and an independent Jury will choose a single winner.
