Study Abroad 2017

Study Abroad 2017

The Study Abroad Course 2017 will be super exciting, it will take us to London, Kopenhagen and Berlin three major capitals in Europe which are architectural hotspots that have many world class contemporary buildings from world famous as well as still unknown architects. Seeing these masterpieces in the flesh and experiencing them first hand is an experience that will enhance your understanding of architecture and probably influence you for years to come even after you finish your degree. We are already working on specifics and we will use our many international contacts to incorporate office visits at all three cities. The 2016 study abroad took us into the office of world famous Herzog and de Meuron a great experience that we will try to replicate (of course with other offices) in 2017. Besides these office visits, the trip will include tours through buildings that are usually not accessible to the public or in-depth tours for other buildings that are only offered to groups. You will gain an insight and understanding of these buildings and buildings in general by seeing architecture live – this insight can not be replicated through books or internet research. The course is a one of a kind offering to our students. It is open to Graduate and Undergraduate Architecture Students Onsite as well as Online. We will prepare for and learn about these buildings in a 4.5 week class prior to the travel that follows during the rest of the summer semester. It is possible to extend your stay in Europe after the study abroad trip concluded.

The travel is 18 days in total:
