Course Description
Get an introduction to the art, theory, and science of construction. Understand the relationships in-between design, technology, structures, and space on a broad and holistic level. Explore exemplary architectural concepts in relation to their structure and resulting spatial expression.

- Identify and illustrate basic elements of building construction
- Exhibit a comprehension of the main principles in the construction of architecture
- Identify and understand the different forces that come in to play in load bearing structures
- Research, analyze and interpret structural concepts with architectural significance
- Apply the knowledge of this course to develop feasible architectural design schemes
