Stewart Green
Undergraduate Faculty
Through 20 years of his working life, Stewart Green has both sought and supported mentorship in architecture, and has enjoyed friendships and knowledge that have grown from these relationships.
He is devoted to architecture that advances design dialog, engages with the public, improves urban life, and provides for our needs with environmental and social responsibility. As a licensed architect in California and New York, he has applied resourceful creativity to a diverse group of buildings, from performance spaces to mixed-use towers, small and large projects. With an active spatial imagination and well-rounded background that bridges design, management and technical roles, Stewart has led design teams from project concept through completion. In his earlier career, he worked on the design and development of several high-rise towers in Seattle, two of which have been built. He enjoyed the complex and extensive design process that progressed from initial building massing and planning to design review to façade development and detailing. Stewart believes that strong design leads projects, but recognizes the necessity of close collaboration and engagement with many people to achieve the best outcomes. He strives for effective communication with clients, the design team, and contractor.
