Ricardo is a licensed architect based in San Francisco and founder of RS/A.  He has almost a decade of experience in the field of Architecture and Urban Design. He holds a Master of Architecture from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University. Ricardo has taught studios and seminars at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design with Reinier De Graff and Farshid Moussavi in both Architecture and Urban Design. Ricardo has worked as lead designer under Mohsen Mostafavi Architects MMA (Dean of Harvard’s GSD) and has also worked at the offices of Farshid Moussavi Architecture, Maryann Thompson Architects, Skidmore Owings and Merrill, HOK, and Gensler in San Francisco. To each endeavor, Ricardo brings leadership, great passion for innovation and excellence, extensive knowledge of building technology and materials, extensive knowledge of architecture history and theory, and expert knowledge of 3D modeling and representation tools. He has extensive experience with complex projects through multiple building types including: workplace, residential multifamily, transportation, mixed use highrise, cultural, and hospitality. He is interested in issues of affordable housing, sustainability and climate resilience, transportation and infrastructure, and the micropolitics of our built environment. He is eager for a new opportunity to pass on my knowledge and passion for architecture to a new generation of students.
