Mid-Point Student Portfolios

Mid-Point Review

The purpose of the Undergraduate Mid-point Review is to provide students with an opportunity to reflect on their own progress, as well as to receive feedback, as they conclude the first 5 semesters of the program. The department directors and faculty members will review student portfolios to personalize their class advisements based on their goals for the future. With this guidance, students are encouraged to develop an awareness of their own strengths and weaknesses as they head into remaining semesters of the program.

What it is:

A meeting with directors and faculty to discuss student progress in the first five semesters of the program

What the students will be doing:

  1. Verbalizing reflections on their education and how the various courses helped them to grow
  2. Identifying strengths and weaknesses
  3. Discussing what influenced them in selecting this major and how they envision themselves in the profession of architecture
  4. Discussing external obligations, commitments, circumstances that may act as obstacles to their education
