Andrea Jost

Andrea Jost studied for her BA in Modern Languages in Portugal, and went on to receive an MA in Linguistics from Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany. After that she traveled the world, working as a journalist, writer, and researcher across Europe and South America. She came to the United States after accepting a position as a research scholar at the University of West Florida, where she used concept maps to study and teach how the human brain acquires new knowledge. She joined the Online Department at the Academy of Art University in 2003. Her primary interests focus on how humans exchange and share knowledge across cultural and physical boundaries. Andrea speaks five languages and has been a contributing writer and editor for numerous publications.
