| *The AIA offers complimentary membership for 2013 graduates of accredited schools of architecture. Students must provide a copy of their diploma with the membership application to qualify for free membership with the AIA for up to 18 months. The free membership period begins upon date of graduation and not the join date; AIA membership operates on a calendar year, which means a spring or winter graduate in 2013 will have free membership until December 31, 2014.Membership remains at the associate level until a member receives full licensure and then has the opportunity to become an architect member. The AIA is a three-tiered organization. Although membership is at the national, state, and local levels, this promotional offer applies only to dues for the national component.
