David Campbell
Graduate Faculty
David Campbell is a licensed Engineer in California. He received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and worked as a structural designer and inspector for five years in Seattle before returning to the Bay Area where he received his Master’s of Architecture at UC Berkeley.
While at Berkeley he delved into parametric tools, computational methods, and digital fabrication in order to understand both the opportunities and the limitations of the bleeding edge of technology and design. He’s particularly interested in how digital platforms can revitalize rather than replace traditional design processes and construction, thereby reinforcing a design concept rather than defining it.
